The Hit format has songwriters pitching their songs to established music stars; it’s the most important pitch of their lives.For the stars, getting the best song for themselves is the business of having a hit. In each episode two stars are challenged with finding their next release from a group of unknown songwriters. It’s a race to lock down the best song so the stars have to make quick decisions as they move from one pitching room to the next. Eventually each artist picks one to song produce. The two artists perform the songs to the delight of the songwriters and then they are released online, ultimately the audience decides which song is the biggest hit based on downloads and streams.
Versions of The Hit have been made in Ireland, Russia, Norway, Holland and China and in each country it has produced real music hits.
