Take on the Takeaway has been picked up by the Warner Bros company “BlazHoffski Productions” in Belgium. Head of Production Steve Curran oversaw the recording of the Pilot.

The Ultimate Doorstep Challenge:
The new VIP format “Nevilles Doorstep Challenge” has gone into pre production for TV3 in Ireland. Ireland hottest interior designer has to transform a room of an unsuspecting member of the public!

Supergarden breaks ground again:
Season 4 of the garden makeover challenge show is returning to RTE this spring. The VIP format will go to air for 6 x 30mins.

Operation Season 5 is back and bigger than ever!:
“Operation Transformation” retured for a 5th season to RTE television after on the massive figures of season 4. The VIP/RTE format is back on the screens for another 8 x 1 hour run and has been hitting an average rating of 36% share.

China goes DING DONG for Super Star:
Banijay International has sold the shiny floor musical game show, Super Star Ding Dong, to Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation China.
JSBC will co-produce the Vision Independent Productions (VIP) format with Idea Asia Media, and the Chinese version is set to air in the months ahead. Banijay also sold the format to Mastiff Media in Poland.

In Super Star Ding Dong, contestants must identify a popular song as rendered by a doorbell chime attached to eight closed doors. Correct answers open the doors, with each one hiding a top celebrity look-alike, and the contestant who identifies the most songs goes on to the final round.
Karoline Spodsberg, managing director, said: “This sale is a great achievement for Banijay International; we are keen to ramp up our presence in Asia and this is a very solid indication of the business we are capable of doing there on behalf of our third party producers.”
“This unique format had me captivated as soon as I saw it,” added Nan Hu, managing director of Idea Asia Media. “I strongly believe it will be a fresh hit in Chinese market.”

Gurin isn’t “kidding” around!:
The Gurin Company of LA and Vision Independent Productions (VIP) have closed a deal for children’s format Who Are You Kidding?
The series, which has run for two seasons on Ireland’s RTÉ, features kids who nominate friends and relatives to sing, dance and act on their behalf. “Who Are You Kidding? is about music, dance and comedy,” said VIP CEO Philip Kampff, “and to have an entertainment producer like Phil Gurin getting behind the show means it can only get bigger.”

The Showdown has begun:
The new series of “Showhouse Showdown” produced by Stone and Co. will have its premiere episode air on HGTV on monday the 12th of September.

FREMANTLE JUST DO IT!!!:
“Do The Right Thing”, a reality show for RTE had been commissioned for a run of 8 x 60mins. 50 volunteers battled across the globe in the hope of becoming one of two ultimate volunteers. Roomer has it:
Roomers, the brand new VIP design challenge format has hit the screens with some fantastic figures. Last week saw the highest rating yet with a viewing figure of 36% share on the Irish national broadcaster, the show has also aired on UKTV with an amazing +11% on slot!

Op on the Up!:
Operation Transformation Season 4 has started on a high. With a 36% share on the first show of the new 8 part season. Also Operation Transformation Season 3 has just been nominated for an IFTA (Irish film and television award). ………AND WINS!!

Room to improve…:
A deal has been secured with UKTV and Irish national broadcaster RTE for a new True HD 8 part challenge interior series called “Roomers”. Roomers has begun pre-production and goes to air in February 2011.

Keeps on Cooking!:
The Restaurant (Secret Chef) has been recommissioned for an 8th season by the national broadcaster RTE. The ratings winner will be back with 6 x 30min episodes and 2 x 60min specials.

Operation Season 4:
“Operation Transformation” will return for a 4th season to RTE television building on the huge success of season 3. The VIP/RTE format will be back on the air in January 2011 for an 8 x 1 hour run.
